By Vivian Tao
This documentary talks about the story of a small institution teaching Chinese primary school students English. On one hand, it reflects the education system and issues society is having. Parents are too afraid their children are not as good as others, so they sign their kids up for tons of classes; on the other hand, it also reflects the hardness of being a teacher and running an institution.
Behind the Scenes
Meet the Filmmaker
I’m Vivian Tao. A senior student double majoring journalism and communication arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During my spare time, I love drawing illustrations. Illustrations are the main ways I express myself, but I’m actually interested in different forms of creative work, such as filming. These works always bring energy to my life.
